The Armenian family of the Sherimann, famous nobles in Venice, owned it until the end of the 19th Century. Count Sherimann transformed the palace in a shelter for homeless and poor orphan children during 1800. The building has been recently completely renovated inside and outside, preserving its original architecture. The hotel is on 3 levels: ground, first and second floors and includes two magnificent halls and terrace. Two original Greek columns dating back to the 13th Century and a well adorn the entrance. Furniture and fabrics in the rooms are in the 18th Century style. GERMAN VERSION: Im historischen Zentrum und in einem typisch venezianischen Winkel an einem Kanal gelegen, befindet sich das Hotel Cà dei Conti, ehemaliger Palast einer Adelsfamilie, nur wenige Minuten von der Piazza San Marco entfernt. Der Palast war bis Ende des XIX. Jahrhunderts im Besitz der armenischen Adelsfamilie Sherimann, die in Venedig hoch geschätzt waren. Graf Giovan Battista Sherimann (wehrend ’800) wandelte den Palast in eine Tagesstätte für Arme und bedürftige Kinder um. Das Gebäude wurde total renoviert wobei der originale Stil beibehalten wurde. Das Hotel dehnt sich auf 3 Stockwerken aus und verfügt über zwei wundervolle Säle und eine Terrasse. Besonders bemerkenswert sind am Eingang der Brunnen und zwei griechischen Säulen mit Kapitellen aus dem XIII. Jahrhundert. Sämtliche Zimmer sind mit Möbeln und Stoffen im Stil des XVIII. Appartenuto fino alla fine del XIX secolo alla famiglia degli Sherimann, nobili molto stimati in città, il palazzo, per volontà del Conte Giovan Battista Sherimann, divenne nell’800 un Istituto di ricovero per i poveri e soprattutto gli orfani. AEREO L’Aeroporto Internazionale Marco Polo si trova ad una decina di km da Venezia; l’hotel è raggiungibile con taxi acqueo privato diretto fino al centro storico (durata viaggio 30 minuti); chiedete al tassista di fermarsi in "Campo Querini Stampalia”, ad 1 minuto dall’albergo -di lì si supera il ponte e si percorre “Fondamenta del Remedio”-, oppure al “Ponte della Canonica”, a 2 minuti dall’hotel ;da lì si prende la calle a destra (non attraversare il ponte) fino a “Campo San Filippo e Giacomo”, quindi si gira in fondo a sinistra in “Calle Sacrestia”, si svolta a sinistra prima del ponte (in “Calle di fianco alla Chiesa”), poi si supera il sottoportico a destra e ci si trova di fronte all’albergo. (*) Desde la parada San Zaccaria MONUMENTO se encamina ala izquierda, se cruza el puente y se dobla a la primera calle ala derecha: “Calle delle Rasse”. - AVION: El aeropuerto internacional “Marco Polo” se encuentra cerca 10 Km de distancia de Venecia y se llega al Hotel mediante un taxi agueo privado en 30 minutos; prejuntan por llegar en CAMPO QUERINI STAMPALIA, a 1 minuto del hotel – marchando despues el puente se encuentra l’edificio ala izquierda -, ò PONTE DELLA CANONICA, 2 minutos del hotel – se prende la calle ala derecha (no se debe cruzar el puente) hasta llegar en Campo san Filippo e Giacomo, ala fin del campo se dobla ala izquierda en Calle Sacrestia, se prende la izquierda antes del puente (en la “Calle di fianco alla Chiesa”), despues pasas un pequeno tunel o portal ala derecha y se encuentra de fronte al Hotel. Se puede llegar al hotel con la lancha motora tanbien, el tiempo de recorrido del aeropuerto a Venecia es de 1 ora y 10 minutos con escalas a “Murano” y “Lido de Venecia” (existe uno cada ora), antes de llegar a destinacion, donde descendiendo a pocos minutos te encontraràs en el Hotel: andando a la derecha y costeando la riva (borde) del Canal pasa el “Ponte della Paglia”, si dobla a la segunda calle alla izquierda “Calle delle Rasse”.
