on the Grand Canal in the very heart of Venice,5

Marco Square, the San Cassiano is the first
Hotel in Venice which has been named Residenza
d'Epoca from a special government commission of
Fine Arts; this important grading was achieved
thanks to its historical and artistic values; in
particular it was the house-studio of Giacomo
Favretto, the last XIX century venitian painter.
Situated in a quiet area where you can enjoy
the real Venice off the main tourist tracks,
this hotel is still only a short stroll from the
Rialto Bridge.
Its wonderful position on the
Grand Canal, in front of the most famous Ca'
d'Oro, gives our guests the opportunity to see

La Residenza d'Epoca Ca'
Favretto San Cassiano e' un palazzo del XIV
secolo che si affaccia sul Canal Grande. Un
tempo dimora delle piu' nobili famiglie
veneziane, divenne nella seconda meta' del 1800
la casa di uno dei piu' famosi pittori
veneziani, Giacomo Favretto, che diede il suo
nome all'edificio. Grazie al suoi particolari
pregi artistici, il palazzo e' stato
classificato da una commissione provinciale in
accordo con le Belle Arti la prima Residenza
d'Epoca in questa citta'.
Situato in una
zona molto tranquilla di Venezia, l'albergo si
trova solamente a 5 minuti a piedi dal Ponte di
Rialto, centro nevralgico della citta'. La sua

and only 500 mt from the railway station Santa
Lucia.
Very close to the hotel there is the
modern art museum Ca' Pesaro and the tissue

its famous fruit and fish markets are just a
stroll away, and the beautiful Frari Church with
the Scuola di San Rocco is only at 10 minutes
walking distance.
